Thank you for downloading JD's Scenery Simulations' freeware scenery for Anson County Airport!

When FS2004 was released, Anson County Airport had a runway that was 3466 x 50 ft, heading 17-35. Shortly after, in 2005, the airport received funding for a brand new 5,500 x 100 ft runway, heading 16-34.

The default FSX layout of Anson County is accurate for the time of release of FSX: the runway was complete, and the old runway was being used as a partial-length taxiway.

Fast forward to 2008. The portion of the old runway used as a taxiway has been demolished, and a full-length parallel taxiway has been constructed at the airport. The airport is also home to an active flying club, and a squeaky clean new 2400 sq.ft. terminal building.

JD Sceneries' rendition of Anson County Airport represents the airport as it looks as of December 2008, with all buildings, hangars, and other structures modeled, in addition to the large "Triangle Brick" factory across the railroad tracks. Look forward to future updates adding more hangars and a full ILS system.

To install this scenery, copy the folder "KAFP-Anson County Airport" to the "addon scenery" folder in c:\program files\microsoft games\microsoft flight simulator x\ directory. Then start Flight Simulator X and click the "settings" tab. Add the scenery in the scenery library, and start a flight at Anson County Airport, and enjoy the fully replicated model of the real world airport.
